Caterham Steering Rack difference between wings?
Discussion
Hi all,
I've got a 91 caterham 1800 Zeetec. It currently has the 'clam shell' long front arches on it but I'm planning to convert it. I have got the race wing stays so am on my way.
Has any one ever had any problems with the steering rack? It appears it might go too far and so the wheels or arches hit the body work.
Cheers and any help appreciated.

I've got a 90 zetec 1.8 which was converted from Clam shall's to cycle wings and yes the cycle wings can clip the body on full lock but i've not had a problem with it.
Personal choice I suppose, considered looking to see if I could use two jubilee clips to act as end stops but on balance left it as it is. One thing that you do notice is how quickly you can turn at low speeds compared to the new rack.
