TVR Power. Above and beyond! How to look after and value your customers!
Back in June 2013 my engine threw a conrod through the block. A butterfly screw was found to be missing from my recently refurbished throttle bodies, however it transpired that this wasn't the cause of failure. The cause of the failure was down to the Indian rods failing.
Dom had rebuilt the engine 5 years ago. To my shame, I had only covered 11500 miles since. Taking some responsibility and as a goodwill gesture, he offered to rebuild it at a discounted rate. I sourced a block and sump and Dom did the rest.
The engine was rebuilt with a relinered block, new throttle bodies, a new clutch and lightweight flywheel. Dom then did a pre MOT inspection and fixed all that needed doing for her to pass the MOT (indicator lens, drop links, ball joints, brakes, door ecu).
I picked her up on Monday and drove the 110 miles home. The car ran like a dream. What a difference, really smooth and responsive. It's like a different car. Only 890 miles to go until I can use her to her full potential, well, within my driving capabilities anyway!
Dom was fantastic from start to finish. He replied to my emails on the evening of the engine failure. He kept me informed throughout the build and updated on anything that needed doing. He contacted me out of business hours and at weekends, if I had sent an email asking something. Nothing was too much trouble. At last a company who listens, looks after and truly values their customers. Inclusive, honest, considerate and caring. I can't thank Dom and his team enough. They went above and beyond when many garages may have turned their backs. You will always get my business and my recommendations. Thank you mate!

Have to agree, I have been talking to Dom for the last couple of months about upgrading the 3.6 in my T350 and sent quite a few emails which was replied to quickly even at weekends and now she is booked in on 8th Feb for a 4.5 and I,am really looking forward to it, if you see a black T350 on the M25 that will be me running it in, thought the M25 would be a great place because you get to go fast and also go slow and come to a standstill and never get lost going round in circles
Seriously I,am really looking forward to it as I have a Cerb and the 3.6 in the T350 just lacks the low down grunt, not long now

Yep,
Second that. I have posted previously re Powers and Dom. The approach of an MD will always filter down through a company to influence the staff meaning a good caring boss nearly always has good caring people who do good work. I know he does a lot himself and is always available to talk technical despite being busy. Full power ahead Powers!

Dom re built my Chim 450 engine, the engine had been chucking out oil allover the place, right old grimy mess, everything had baked hard, like new when I collected it again. Its the small things that add upto a lot of things.
Great bunch of lads who work with him.
Glad to hear you got the car sorted and good on Dom.
I have the engines first 5000 mile service after re build coming up.
Can't wait to take it and show him I'm looking after it, lol.
