A31 stationary since about 630 initially due to a lose horse then an accident at Picket Post. It must be carnage as about 25 emergency vehicles have passed. Just been told by Plod they're turning us all round to go back the wrong way to M27 J2. This is going to take all night as I'm about 1/4 mile from PP.

Nope, tucked up at home. Allegedly the accident involved 2 motorbikes. Road is going to be closed most of the night for accident investigation gubbins.

And clearing up the bits of a horse by the sound of it!

Mixed reports going around then,I'd heard it was unrelated to the horse incident. Irrelevant anyway!

Friend of mine was there. He just said he saw a sea horse and two damaged motorbikes, but I can't confirm if this was due to one accident or multiple incidents.

A sea horse? Heavy rain?

Strange! I think I miss typed saw and horse and my phone corrected it to sea horse. I then added the word saw again. No sea horses were involved. Just a regular horse.

I was about 20 cars back from the front of the queue last night. The horse incident was at about 5:40 and after closing the road they opened a single lane after about 45mins, there were still officers looking for the Horse along the stretch of road at this point. After clearing the single lane section toward the flat section toward Pickett Post everyone was getting up to motorway speeds and pretty much came to an abrupt halt opposite the lay by on the other side of the road. We were let through at about 8.30 by slowly weaving around the debris of the two motorbikes, given how slowly we had to traverse the accident scene, the guys at the back of the queue must have taken hours to clear if they weren't already sent back to J1 of the M27.

There didn't seem to be any evidence of Horse involvement in the accident other than obviously being the cause of the initial hold up and why the Motorcyclists were in close proximity once the road was opened up.
