Range Rover SE 63 V8 - strange smell

hi i was hoping someone could help

have new v8 4.4 range rover SE 63 plate and it has a strange smell in the vents, like a stuffy hot smell all the time and intermittently has a burning plastic i best way to describe it. mainly after i have come to stand still at lights or traffic

any other range rover users experience anything like this or can shed some light!

i am new to range rover and find it an odd smell

I have the V6 (Sept13) and I have noticed a burning rubber smell a few times after parking up (after normal non hard driving) but can't tell where its coming from.

My car is in tomw for a few re-call bits, so will mention it.

Ah thanks so much glad to see I am not only one!! Will have a little look at that other message thread, I did take it back down to dealer and made them come out with me they couldn't understand the smell of burning plastic and said maybe there is a seal broken under bonnet and letting the smell in from the engine, either way it's scary as I have a 6 month old baby and have been complaining since day 1 about the car.

Have any other dealers given different explanations? I was told no one else had complained re my problem but thinking that is probably not true after reading some of the bits on here!!

My dealer could not find a fault with the car and suggested the smell could be the particulate filter burning off waste.

Probably just fobbing me off??

With my car it has been very occasional - 3 times in four months and only noticed once parked up and out of the car, so perhaps it is what they say.
