If any of you have records of M series corner weights and front and rear track widths, I would be grateful if you could post them, or pm them to me.

It's time to select springs and shocks, and it would be valuable for me to have this info. Thanks, in advance.

Best,
B.

Corner weights generally set with driver and 1/2 tank of fuel and differ car to car sometimes by quite a margin…
Not sure what you will gain using a set of static weights from someone else or whether you would get any real benefit on a road car built to go in a straight line at 200mph Bernard??
Plus you have dramatically altered your wheel / tyre combo, relative widths, profiles and hence roll centres at static position ?

Adrian has done a lot of work with corner weights to M chassis I believe??

I hope you've been having fun, not just regular, old insomnia.

You are right.

I'd like to know the differences, so that I can extrapolate what I've been told, over the years, onto my car. For instance, if I knew the standard track, then I could translate the spring rates somebody suggested to me. Spring rate -> standard track wheel rate, then, that wheel rate, through my modified track -> my spring rate.

Also, I'm assuming the rears of our Ms, with the heavier differentials, are reasonably similar in weight, even if the fronts vary dramatically. As I have been asked, by the shock absorber manufacturer, to provide approximate corner weights, I will be able to gauge the rear, and by subtraction from my target weight, determine the front corners.

Early to bed early to rise Bernard. and early trip to work....
I am sure Adrian will help with std static dimensions and rough corner weights for a std car as a starting point Bernard. I do know he has discussed before on here so it may come up under a search.

Search yielded too much chaff to weed through. Don't make me lament this site's once brilliant search function AGAIN!

So, according to factory publications, the track is 53.75" wide, front and rear.

Now, about those corner weights . . .
