Or, The Amber which my wife and I prefer over The Witchery

Spent three nights in Edinburgh last summer during the Festival. We did the Whitchery which was fine, but rather over pretentious.
Next night we went to Angels with Bagpipes, also on the Royal Mile. Much better food and atmosphere and cheaper than the witchery. Highly recommended.

Also went to a faulous Steak restaurant, opposite the Playhouse. Best Steak ever tasted:
