Can anyone recommend somewhere for Valentines Dinner in Edinburgh? Somewhere reasonably nice but achievable on a student budget; no more than about £120 would be good!

We've tried (and liked!) Iris on Thistle Street if there's anywhere similar?

Thanks

Or, The Amber which my wife and I prefer over The Witchery smile

Or the Mussel and Steak in the Grassmarket lick

Thanks everyone, plenty to be looking at there!

I did think about The Witchery or Wisharts but thought they would blow the budget out of the water - I'll have a look at online menus and see!

Spent three nights in Edinburgh last summer during the Festival. We did the Whitchery which was fine, but rather over pretentious.

Next night we went to Angels with Bagpipes, also on the Royal Mile. Much better food and atmosphere and cheaper than the witchery. Highly recommended.

Also went to a faulous Steak restaurant, opposite the Playhouse. Best Steak ever tasted:
