PCM Screen Display Switch

I find the PCM display distracting when driving at night and not using the satnav. Does anyone know if its possible to programme switch on the multifunction steering wheel to turn the screen off. I have scanned the handbook and could find if this was available and frankly life's to short to really read it.

The only way I've found to do it is to turn the whole PCM system off - ie no sound either - unlike BMW, Porsche don't seem to have a "Display Off" option, unless there's one in the new PCM update that I haven't found yet. That, along with the idiocy that means the sound system comes on every time you start the car, regardless of how you left it at last switch-off, simply demonstrates that Porsche and their suppliers really don't have a clue about what we in the tech industry call User Experience…

My favourite feature is... if you have the sound system off, but then make/take a phone call, and adjust the volume during that phone call, the sound system will come on when you hang up the call.

The display can be turned off in using: car/options/PCM/Display off/Confirm (this was from memory so may be wrong). However if a call comes in it take you back to display off again, trivial but frustrating. I really need more in life to concern me!!
