Keep on emerging.....
Discussion
Drives me mad this and I experience it on many journeys now at most large roundabouts.
I'm talking about those who carry on emerging out in front or alongside you as you pass them.
Leaving no option but to go around them quite often and you then end up cutting back in on them as they forced you into the wrong position to you take your exit.
Then they get the needle with you for cutting back in front of them
And yes, I am doing it right....
Right turn (3rd exit) me in the right hand lane and transitioning over as I pass the exit before the one I want (signalling left as I pass etc) all as per highway code.
One woman the other week just carried on going and I was so angry that she would have hit me had I not taken evasive action that I did a controlled stop on her further down the road and got out to give her the full Q&A on who she thought had priority on roundabouts and why she didn't stop and what could the dangers of carrying on regardless be?
She said she couldn't see as she had a big 4x4 in the right hand lane next to her FFS
Why the feck is it so hard for so many people to understand?
Not just roundabouts though it seems; had to do an emergency stop the other day as a woman in a Merc just drove out of a side road at me from the left.
The worst so far was a bloke in a V70 who shot across the road from my right out of a side road after just looking straight at me as I came along the major road towards him. I had to slam on an steer away from him as he zipped out in front.

I'm one of those that creeps out.. If you just stopped to let us out, there wouldn't be a near accident and we wouldn't have to overtake you when we get to a straight I'm talking about those who carry on emerging out in front or alongside you as you pass them.

This isn't Crete, we don't give way to those entering roundabouts unless there is signage to direct it.
I saw your winky (that just sounds so wrong) but please don't jest, some might take you seriously!
I encounter this a lot on a roundabout I can't avoid. Either they blatently creep out to turn right as you are about to transition from right to left exit lane, or creep out to turn right in the "shadow" of some other t
t who has launched themselves onto the roundabout.
The light blue car at the 11 o'clock position - I'm talking about you!

There's a roundabout near me that's a straightforward four-exit type (the one opposite Matalan in Ashford, for those in the know) that always seems to attract cretins without any clue of how to use a roundabout properly.
All too often I see people approach the roundabout, take the R/H lane, indicate right, but go straight over. All too often I've been in the correct L/H lane to go straight over and had this person alongside me suddenly realise that I'm in the space they want to be at the exit, and get all horn-honky on me like I'm in the wrong.
The weird thing is it just seems to be that roundabout, I've followed people who've made the above mistake who've then gone on to use correct lane discipline at subsequent roundabouts.
Very odd.

I had this today

Referencing the above highway code picture its slightly ambiguous. I was the red car turning right at the roundabout, the line shows my path round it, the green lines are just standing traffic, I stopped at the first red dot to let the cars out that were coming from the bottom until I had a gap in front of me past the exit, there were a few cars in a line behind me waiting to go the same way.
The yellow line is a van driver, he got to the yellow dot maybe 30 seconds after me, I'm not sure where he came from but I suspect the same place as me. I moved over to the left as soon as I passed the exit before so I was in the correct lane to take the exit, also anyone coming from the top of the picture can continue round without me blocking them. The van driver blocked the roundabout and then gave me a big blast on the horn when we both set off and reckons I cut him up.
