So some idiot decided to scrape my car in a car park and drive off without leaving a note etc, I have a rough idea of what car I think it was but no proof and will probably never see it again. frustratingly I realise there's nothing I can do apart from suck it up and repair it myself, just bloody annoys you though.

Question Is how is the best way to tackle this? A body shop would be the best bet but pricey, and I'm reluctant to pay for what someone else has done. Im tempted to have a go myself as I have a touch up pot which is a good match, but would mean brushing it on which may not look the best. While the paints been taken off and it's scratched there's no gouges or deep cuts, hence me thinking i may be able to have a stab at it, any recommendations on how to get a half decent result?

Cheers

I reckon that'll polish out. looks like rubber marks mostly, but hard to tell from the pic.
Try some T-cut or rubbing compound on a rag, might just get most of it out?

Definately first option if you're doing it yourself is buy something like AG paint restorer, then a lighter polish and see from there.

I'd have a crack and have done plenty of times with the paint stick. Whats to lose? a tenner?

If you can't live with it take it to a paint shop when you're feeling flush.

You should be able to get that sorted for £150ish by a professional. If it won't polish out then to make it look half decent would mean painting it yourself, touch up brushes 99% of the time look st.
