Been for a tootle round the North Yorkshire moors with Carob. Got to say them roads are made for a wedge. Stunning views and lovely pubs.
Did I say you could use my playground?
Test your brakes on Lythe Bank, ground your chassis on the descent into Danby, wash your tyres in the ford in Westerdale, scare the sheep on the Castleton - Hutton-le-hole road, fish'n'chips in Whitby, a pint at the Lion at Blakey (free if you get snowed-in) and a speeding ticket at Scaling Dam - it's got the lot!

A Yorkshire tourist office spokesman said today "Oh aye. By 'eck.". Which as anyone from Yorkshire knows is real excitement

ETA: if you want a quick tour, start at Stokesley, take the Helmsley road through Gt. Broughton. In Helmsley, find the Pickering road, then in Kirbymoorside turn left and up through Hutton-le-hole. Over Blakey ridge, hang a right down the 1:3 Rosedale Chimney bank and get lost in the back roads to Danby and Castleton. Up Castleton High Street, just before the cattle grid hang a right down into Commondale/ Kildale/ Battersby/ Easby and back to Stokesley.

All good roads Jeff - but thought you would be doing Northumberland roads for the BAR Run?The Pub at Blakey Ridge is definitely worth a stop for lunch as Ian says
and his route suggestion is a cracker that we did with the Tees Valley guys just a couple of years ago
Cheers
