What has anyone done to adhere them to the stock mirror since they do not have the lil prongs on them that the stock mirror caps have to lock them in?
Glue,2 sided tape or ?

Tux,
We have different varieties here.
Did you use the one for rearview mirrors or a special one for plastic?
I don't want to use the wrong one, burn holes thru and make my beautiful CF caps look like a mouse was nibbling on them.

personally i dont think the "covers" are worth the money, when ive bought some beautiful carbon fibre mirrors for £160 weight 170 grams reduce drag, and are aerodynamic and transform the look of the car (for the good) soapbox

Hi Tony,
Any pictures and information on the ones you have?
I have already got the CF covers but I am always open to options.

But tony u don't seem to like anything that is carbon fibre that wasn't made by u. Or that u have. Everything seems not worth the money to u.

pmsl the reason i got into getting bits made was im sick of people ripping off people with crazy prices for items. now i looked at the wing mirror covers, and they are exactly that, A COVER.i dont make wing mirrors,or covers. any item ive made is because i dont like the shape/price of whats on offer by diff people.
my personal choice.

I modified/cut the original cover and then bonded the cf one onto it... Was lighter than original and just pops on and off like original rather than permanently bonded.

Ur personnel choice is ur choice. U don't have to comment n slag off everyone else's stuff that they choose to have.
Ur relentless in ur negativity. Life is a lot easier when ur positive.
U may think some stuff is expensive. But things are worth what people are willing to pay. N I for one would rather pay a lil more for the experience n ppl I get to meet talk to n the help and guidance that comes with it at no extra charge. A bit carbon fibre cost x amount. Knowledge and friendship is priceless.

Andy,
So are you able to pop off your covers or are you talking about being able to pop off the whole mirror?
I have been afraid to clue the caps since I didn't want to ruin my mirrors incase I had to get in there?
The stock caps have tabs and are easy to pop on and off.
When I ordered them I thought they would have the tabs.

Every time there is a cf thread u comment n complain bout how much stuff cost.
Yes it's a forum. Yes freedom of speech n all that crap.
But y can't u just appreciate people like the products on offer.
Carry on making ur cheaper options. Like ur cf end plates.
Some will like them. Most will prefer the other type on offer.
N who the fk cares if it's wet lay or pre preg. Get over urself.

The covers look nice rather than (IMO) cheap looking aftermarket mirrors fitted to some peoples cars... But it's all personal preference and you pays your money and makes your own choice.
