Booking with the LM Tourist Office
Discussion
Well there has been a monumental cock up with my tickets. My invoice only showed tribune tickets when I received it, so when I asked about my camping and entrance tickets, there was something lost in translation.
To add insult to injury, I emailed her the online banking receipt to prove I had done the bank transfer for my tribune tickets, and she told me they had changed their bank account (but were obviously still sending out invoices with the old details on!). The old bank account and new bank account appear to have the same IBAN and BIC numbers, so hopefully payment will reach her, else I'm 437 Euro down with nothing. No camping, no tribunes!
So if anyone knows of any Tetre Rouge or Houx camping tickets being sold (catch is I need 3 pitches, as we are taking 2 caravans, 2 cars and a large awning!), then please let me know (TR and Houx have electric, and I'm disabled, so these sites suit me as they are fairly close to the village and track). I could chance eBay nearer the time, but don't fancy paying the 200% profit on the tickets that the sellers ask for (but obviously willing to supply beers to anyone who can sell me some tickets!)
I figured booking with the tourist office (for the amount of tickets I wanted), would be a quick and easy process, as it seems to have been for so many people, and with the cheaper tickets, it would pay for my ACO membership! However, I was VERY wrong.
Many Thanks
James

Managed to book 3 x Houx none numbered pitches through Brian at 1st tickets. He has saved my bacon!
Don't know much about the none numbered pitches. I will need electric as we have 2 caravans so will probably need to take lots of cable?
I can't help with your cable conundrum (sorry James) but I'm delighted you've got sorted out OK.Don't know much about the none numbered pitches. I will need electric as we have 2 caravans so will probably need to take lots of cable?
Thanks for the feedback on the tourist office - we'd considered them in the past based on feedback from others - I'm glad we've always booked through Brian / 1st now!

I might be one of those 'others'. Thanks for the feedback on the tourist office - we'd considered them in the past based on feedback from others - I'm glad we've always booked through Brian / 1st now!
James went with them on my recommendation, but I'm not so sure about future ticket buying there myself. Glad to see all is sorted now though!
Have faith. I had issues with the tourist office when I moved house and credit cards were rejected. I've used Nadine for about 7 years now and have had no issues. Well when I have I have always got them sorted. Two years ago we had to pick up tickets from Expo, that was the worst. Time will tell, give her chance to sort it, I bet they are unbelievably busy!!

She sorted it by telling me she had no camping left apart from BSJ and my only hope was cancelations
Luckily 1st tickets came good with Houx

Well i know James has had problems but i think i have sorted him out now with a spare i was left with, i have always used Nadine and can only recommend her, she has always got me exactly what i want at prices that are only matched by the ACO itself, you get the discount. They do have a limit on the number of tickets for each site and you can not expect to get the best sites the first time you use her, but she will always try to help you and her regular customers have nothing but praise for her.

I got everything I wanted when website booking opened for ACO members so no harm done, but that's pretty poor service.
I've never managed that either. Everything on the website seems to sell out within seconds of ACO booking opening. I don't know how people manage to reserve what they want and pay so quickly!Gassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
