Long shot - anyone have an XF 3.0 s/c 4x4?
Discussion
I'm expecting the answer to be no, but if there are any Americans or continental Europeans with one any feedback would be appreciated. What's the fuel economy like, and is the extra performance worthwhile over the V6 diesel?
I'm told it doesn't sound as good in the XF as the F Type but sadly I need more than 2 seats, and a boot!

We sell plenty of them, sell that engine in the XJ as well. Two of my colleagues have 3.0 AWD XJ's and get bonkers good fuel consumption. One says he gets around 25 mpg (US gallon which is smaller) whilst the other guy who has a longer commute says he sometimes sees closer to 30! Doesn't surprise me too much as I used to see 23 mpg from a 5.0 XJ with a lead foot and I get around 20 from my XKR.
XF consumption should be similar to XJ.

Thanks for that, very interesting. Local Jag dealer also have a 2.0T XJ demo which is similar money and tempting as well, but realistically it's way bigger than we need and at 32 I think I'm still a good bit too young for an XJ! My wife is still leaning towards an Evoque though, so is going to need some more persuading on the Jag front I think.

We don't sell the 2.0 XJ in the US so can't comment. We haven't sold as many XF's with the 4 banger as we had expected but it's a good motor. Not available with AWD in Jag though. The Evoque has that engine and now has a 9 speed which has made a difference to performance and consumption. Whether you go V6 AWD XF or Evoque you're going to get a very competent vehicle and a great ownership experience.Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
