Sainsburys beef

Last weekend we cooked a 1/2 price joint (cost about a tenner)cooked nice and rare.

Roast lunch for 3
Roast dinner twice this week for 2
+ sandwichs all week and still some left
What good value is that.

What size/weight was it?

Guessing like the 2.5kg one on this page?

Not sure one would last that length of time in our place, a 4-rib roast over Christmas only lasted a couple of days between the two of us.

Having said that, it was so good that dinner only consisted of the beef and roast potatoes on the side, there was a side serving of gluttony too. Reckon I got rid of two "ribs" worth myself on the first sitting alone



ETA: Photo - the other half of the joint was removed and is elsewhere as it was a bugger to cover/rest/cut when in one piece.
