Have a budget of around £150 used, don't want to spend too much cause I'm new to this but realised, I'd like a camera better than my phone for when I go travelling. Budget could go higher if needed just wondered if there is any recommendations or things I need to look for when buying a used camera ? Thanks

Might get a Nikon d80 with a kit lens for that if you look hard enough?

Otherwise something like an Olympus e-500 is a decent little camera even though its quite old now.

Used Nikon D3100 with a kit lens.

All the camera and lens that most people will ever need. Buy one, master the basics and then if you ever feel you've outgrown it for whatever reason you'll get a tidy sum back when you sell it on.

IMO , tho I am biased old canons will offer better low light noise than old nikons, D90 is when nikon got on the bandwagon I think.

But also to be honest there are very few poor SLR's around.
