Driving to Le Mans...what do you do anot xenons?

Taking my 996t to Le Mans this year and I know you can buy those travel kits from Halfords that have all the breatherlisers, but interms of bulbs for headlights, what do I need to do about spare xenons? Any help appreciated........and now a gratuitous picture of my 996t.

Just take a standard spare set of bulbs. If you don't drive like a prat there's no reason for the Gendarmes to stop you. There are a lot of police around, speed traps and also breath testing going on (just like there would be at a similar event in the UK). Just be sensible when driving and you'll have a great time.

Never carried anything like that in Europe, TBH. I'd have headed for an OPC if one blew there.

Changing a bulb, is not that hard to do anyway if you need to? However their are many people, who cannot even open their bonnet?

Spare bulbs - not required

Law is the same as here - it's an offence to drive with a light out - which is why AA and RAC 'recommend' you take spare bulbs to France.

Isn't it the law in France that every car has to carry a breathalyser, but there's no actual penalty for not carrying one?

Postponed indefinitely.

As an aside, the UK has opted out of sharing DVLA info with other EU states.

Stick to driving during daylight would be the obvious solution.

Never had any issues with lights over there.

You've got Xenons, (Litronics) so take the headlight out remove rear cap and flick the headlight to T for tourist (adjusts the beam), simple. Your headlights are now legal for mainland Europe.
