Should I be angry?
Discussion
On my most recent trip down to cornwall I required the services of the RAC. I was driving to the petrol station the night before I was due to leave and when I gave it some revs on the bypass the 02 sensor 'popped out':

It threw the car into limp mode so I nursed to a friends house and left it there overnight. The next day having failed to blag a mate to come and weld it back in before a 240 mile trip I found my RAC membership card and resigned myself to making the journey home on a low loader. The RAC guy had a torch so could see the thread had been stripped on the sensor, the problem was solved by him making an hour round trip to pick up a new 02 sensor (£100) and simply screwing it back in.
The twist is this, the exhaust is 14 days old, I saw that the fitter had trouble removing the 02 and had obviously stripped the thread as he swore then got a senior guy to have a look. Rather than sell me one the senior bloke decided he could fix it and they got it back in.
The RAC guy was livid when he noticed the exhaust was new and that this had happened, he suggested I take it up with the garage.
However, the garage charged £99 for a new catalyst and front pipe (where the 02 sensor plugs in). The RAC charged me £100 for the new 02 sensor. £199 all in is still cheaper than Kwik Fit or a local exhaust fitter would charge me. They sell tyres dirt cheap and they are a business I cant afford to fall out with.
Personally I was pissed off when I thought I might be going 240 miles in the cab of an orange low loader at 55mph. But even at the time I was suprised how insistant the RAC guy was that I do something about it. Is this something I should put time into or just forget it?

I'd just suck it up, but make sure I had a word with the manager of the garage and tell them what happened and that I wasn't overly happy, but mistakes do happen, personally. You still got a reasonable deal overall and sometimes, it's just not worth winning every battle

Obviously I haven't read your dreary opening post, but the day you ask whether you should be angry by asking the opinions of strangers on an Internet forum is the day you should really start reassessing your life.
You're welcome.
Oh look, Billy Big Balls has come wading in with an opinion. Nice effort. You're welcome.

Just had a read of some of his other posts in his 4 month stay here.....

I wouldn't bé.
Fecking things get so siezed in even with copious amounts of graphite spray for days before, that the threads stripping on the way out is not uncommon.
(Theres also the possibilty the thread was crossed when originally fitted, so not your fitters fault at all)
They tried to save you a new one and i didnt workk out.
