991 tts v gt3 any links?

Anyone got any video comparisons of both these cars in action around the same track?

Interested to know which one is actually quicker.

The track focussed one or the road focussed DD.

No links but saw my first 991 Turbo S yesterday - it may be quick but the GT3 is much better looking car. The rear wings on the Turbo look overdone and have lost the sexy rear of the GT3.
IMO of course...

Depends on the track.
And on the weather.
And on how good a driver you are.
And whether you are on the track purely to have fun or purely to set a lap time.

Clearly the GT3 is significantly lighter so will be better under braking and probably carry more speed through corners. But the TTS will have more punch out of corners etc.

So, to summarise, impossible to say...

GT3 comes with cup2 tyres, so any vid vs would be pointless.

Put cups2 on the turbo and take it to a power circuit like a Silverstone and it will prob be faster.
Add in a drop of rain and turbo will Really make use of 4wd.
Who really cares both very fast cars.

I am interested in why you want to know. Will it affect which one you buy?

Only 2 seconds in it around the ring from memory.

So, to summarise, impossible to say...

slight bit of rain or damp....and the GT3 will not see which way a tts went....on the road the tts is much easer day to day than the GT3, not that the GT3 is hard work.....But the Turbo S, is so good......

I think the GT3 is (surprisingly) faster...

Again, tyres, I doubt the turbo has a ring time with cup2 tyres on.

So, to sum up, on identical tyres..... The GT3 might be a bit quicker on slow twisty circuits, but the TS will be quicker on fast open ones....

That's because the Turbo S doesn't come with those tyres.

The GT3 doesn't have a ring time with a Turbo fitted - there's a good reason for that...

The quickest will be the mini metro with a pro driver in it, flashing its headlamps at you through Coppice to get the F out the way. (Not you personally of course but you catch ma drift).

So buy the one that makes you feel the best and looks the best IMO.

Go for a turboS. With the same tyres,a 991 GT3 wouldn't know which way you went in the dry or the wet...

lets take nurburgring, my money would be on a 997 turbo s vs a 997 gt3 on equal tyres but wouldnt think twice about what car to have - the gt3 ofcourse

Im guessing the same would go for 991.
TTs should be quicker on same tyres.

Perhaps what your really asking is if the 991 gt3 is special/involving enough to justify buying it as a car enthusiast or are we just after the latest piece of tech(TTs), but if that was the case - I would save my self some money and buy a gtr instead
