Advice please - frame condition

Hi all,

I've recently got hold of a 1996 Klein Adroit frame which is in need of a bit of TLC. Before I start building it up I wanted some opinions of the dents and corrosion in the ally. Bearing in mind it's almost 20 years old and an MTB so going to get a bit of abuse is it safe to ride? Or is it repairable and if so how easily/much?
In it's time it was the Rolls Royce of MTB frames and still a very collectable piece of kit today so I'd love to save it if possible but at the same time I need to ensure it's not dangerous to ride.

- you`ll get lots of advice from some very knowledgable folk who will probably end up having an argument about the issue. I think the dents could come out - is the paint surface lifting up due to surface corrosion - a sort of white flaky stuff underneath? I hope it is just surface stuff. If you have a local framebuilder then their opinion would be worth having.

Your best bet is to take it to the local powder coating place the bikers use, I'd guess Klein used really thin Alu and top tubes always were the thinnest of the lot, those dents look fairly significant. Unfortunately No one can tell if it's saveable based on pictures alone! I wouldnt worry about the corrosion though.

Thanks guys. The corrosion is indeed a mild white powdery type stuff though the paint isn't yet flaking, more just raised as in the pic.
The top tube dent concerns me most as it's on the very top of the tube as well. Shame if it isn't fit for use as it's an incredibly collectible frame and a damned good one at that (if in good nick )
