Another TVR fatality
Discussion
I've just read the Dorset evening echo and there is some tragic news of a 53 year old man who died because his green TVR lost control and collided with a tree and ended up on it's roof. It happened near Sherborne Dorset. The man was from Surrey.
Condolences to all concerned.
All we TVR drivers need to take care this time of year.
Grouch.

Not named I suppose?
Since I realised my dream and bought my Tiv back in March and the time I started on PH in Jan of this year,
that makes 6 deaths mentioned on here alone.
Tragic ..Condolences.
Sad news indeed.
I hope as few people as possible are affected by this loss, and that those in the other car as as best as they can be in the situation.
Not to scare anyone, but it might be worth finding out what car it was, from the description I'd imagine Griff/Chim/S/Wedge as there is not roof support, but if its something newer it would be worth knowing.

That is really sad news - please take care out there.

Hi Deb, why do you read the Scotsman?
Terribly, awfully sad.
Please, please, please be careful out there this winter.
Get extra training.
It may not help - one can always be plain unlucky - but if it could...
Not saying anything about this poor gentleman's tragic accident - I don't know the circumstances. But these threads make me quite uncontrollably sad sometimes.

Very sad indeed.
We do not know what happened to this poor guy, but please always remember how fast and nasty our cars could be when we are pushing the limits. This season of the year brings potential adverse conditions for driving any sport car.
Just think about it from time to time.

Really sad news - can'r beging to imagine the anguish of family and friends.
A question: Does anyone know the statistics of fatalities in TVR's. There aren't that many around compared to most other cars and I'd be interested to know, statistically, what the TVR (percentage) record is like.
