Hi guys, i know there are plenty of threads on this subject but i need to ask anyway.

I Would like to hear from people who have had this done, ideally within the last 12 months or so.

My first overiding issue is quality, 2nd is location, [ideal being within 80 mile radius of warrington, Cheshire] and 3rd obviously price.

I have been up to Blackpool today, saturday, to Redman racing to drop my diff off for a refurb, and whilst there i popped next door, to the Trim technician, and had a chat with John about a new roof for my Chimaera.

There was no recent new roof work to inspect, but i could see the quality of his work as he was recovering most of the leather interior on a Ferrari.

Then drove round to Bristol ave and D.C Trim. I wanted to again discuss and view some of their work, but unfortunatly they were closed.
I have emailed them requesting options and a price.

Thought about the option of a smaller square rear screen, but im not convinced. I appreciate it would be more practical, but im not sure of how it looks.

So guys recommendations for any other trimmers please, within my 80 mile radius, Quality being my main concern.

Thanks Tom.

Yes full replacement.

Rear window is intact but all the stitching is failing around it, and also around the velcro strips. Rear window is a little milky and not as clear/clean as it should be.

Targa section is ok, but has the usual wear and tear on the leading edge, and a few scuff marks on the top, which unfortunatly renovo will not sort out.

For the cost of replacing the rear window and sorting out the other failing stitching areas, and the scuffs etc on the targa, i thought it better just to renew the whole lot.

I just dropped my car off at D &C yesterday for some trim work and a full replacement hood. They re-trimmed my car in 2009 and it still looks New. Chris is great with roofs and personally I wouldn't go anywhere else, after all he probably did your original one in the factory.

My trimmer costs around £450 for the full roof but i srtip the rear so just the bottom fixing and roll bar then make sure the roll bar is holding the targa panel properly they then pattern the rear then i take it all off again they upholster and then i refit it.

Could try this number 01606834480 situated in a unit next to Torque TVR in Middlewitch in Cheshire He did a good job of a complete roof and rear screen on mine at a very reasonable price too.

TVR hoods are difficult to fit correctly and I have to say the the best fitted ones I've seen are definitely from DC Trim.
