Advice on LFT Results

I had LFT last Wednesday and got a call from the doctors asking to go in immediately (this in itself scared me).
The doctor said I have abnormal bilirubin and ALT results, she didn't give me any of the levels though.
She asked me about my drinking but I'm a moderate drink of only beer. The real worry was that they had already booked me an urgent liver scan and I have to have more blood tests on Tuesday.

Has anyone had similar or have any advice. I'm not I'll at all but I have been very fatigued lately.

I'm not saying you have hepatitis, but have a read here until you see a proper doctor, who will diagnose you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hepatitis

you have no diagnosis yet, merely guess work. If you feel well you probably are well, remember.

That is some leap !
Looks like an obstructive picture, any abdo pain or right shoulder tip pain ?
Far more likely to be something as simple (and common) as gall stones, which an ultrasound could show up

No I don't feel Ill at all but I went to the doctors due to having soft stools for a long time.

I'm hoping it's nothing but the speed that they are moving is the worrying part.

Errr Dr Frank that would be a hepatitic picture not obstructive.
Multiple causes some not exciting could even be Gilberts syndrome which is a normal variant.
Ask GP to send you as a red flag referral to a gastroenterologist for a proper work up.

What colour are your stools?

Normal brown or light and pale?

Not a medical specialist in the slightest but following Pneumonia a couple of years ago I took ages to recover and have some blood tests which showed up some raised ALT levels which saw me referred to a liver specialist and ultimately after more tests had a liver biopsy after they suspected auto-immune liver disaease.

All worked out fine in the end but what helped me out massively going through that period was knowing that I had been referred to one of the leading liver people in the country. If you're on private healthcare don't fk around just get yourself referred to a specialist.
