Traffic Cops - Last Night...
Discussion
Watched the latest offering last night ... which focused on teenage yobs.
One young man was tackled as he made mistake of running home for documents und BiB thought he was doing runner und ...
But his Mama sorted it all out
BiB looked a bit embarrassed ....but you could see how it looked to him in fairness.
This BiB later copped another young lad driving whilst disqualified und could not remember his real name :rolleye:
Yobs in notorious chav estate came out mit the time honoured line which had me rolling off couch in fit of giggles..
"They fink a uniform mek'em god! It is scandalous - wwuduv bin taxed and insured tomorrow anyway.. shunfair "
Well - that ist what it sounded like to me ...
This was the untaxed car which was going to be taxed and insured on the tomorrow which never comes
But the really gob smacking little incident involved the white van... which was chased by two cops cars including our regular hero on the show (can never remember his name for some reason - but he ist the one who goes through plod keks like dose of salts as he leaps over fences und braves fierce dogs to get his man (even though "!dogs make him nervous!"
)
Anyway ... they copped the white driver after he had torn through Sheffield in rush hour, clipped a another van on roundabout, driven merrily along hard shoulder, und then along a pavement ... taking out nearside wing mirrors and panels of cars sitting patiently in rush hour queue. He then collided with something else and that ist whne they caught him.
Who was this young driver who raced through Sheffield's rush hour of standing traffic at 70 mph, disregarding any hazard in front of him?
A fourteen year old
Punishments... the untaxed/ininsured car (from the estate) was crushed.
The young scrote who was driving whilst disqualified was given suspended sentence und further ban for him to ignore.
The fourteen year old was taken into care und
banned from driving for three years.
Does this ban run from now until he is 17 or does it run from when he reaches 17 until he is aged 20?
Was not clear but former (from 14) seemed implied for impact...in which case punishment is zero.
In any case ... will he adhere to such a ban anyway?
In the meantime .. the really safe drivers continue to get pinged, cough up higher premiums as result and even sometimes get banned for four "offences" which were not even remotely dangerous.....and for which they may not have been "ticketed" by plod or even undeer a different pratnership

For once I actually managed to be in to see it - looked hard for PH stickers on the Volvos but none to be seen
Thought it came across quite well - Bib with the trousers seems to have the essential accessory - a sense of humour. Younger one looked like a bulldog licking piss off a nettle though, but that's probably only down to the pressures of TV stardom!
Have to admit to yelling at the tv when heard the little
driving the transit was only 14... if it had been my car he'd squeezed past I'd have hurdled that wall quicker than the copper (and gravity works significantly against me doing that!
) and taught him that actions have consequences... grr.
I believe that the ban isn't as daft as it first sounds. A driver record gets created for him now, so that if he gets done again (even when past 17) the offence is then "Driving whilst disqualified" rather than whatever the actual offence in the future is.
That way, he leapfrogs the "tap on wrist" stages and hopefully the Magistrate will get out his black cap...

... oh yeah, I just remembered the look on the BiB's face when told about the monkey ripping the numberplate off the guy's new Volvo
But can you imagine the driver's thoughts when the old blue lights came on behind him? "Oh fark... they'll never believe this..."
(Not as good as the guy that stopped on the hard shoulder to take part in a Jeremy Vine phone in... The BiB bollocking was loud & clear to the nation before JV hurridly cut the feed.
