Steve Sutcliffe gives it the berries at Bahrain:

For me, it doesn't tell me much in isolation apart from it looks really rather fast indeed, sounds pretty anodyne, and has lots of settings.

nice to see the p1 flying around a track but didnt really get a sense of what the car was like , not enough enthusiasm compared to a chris harris review , have to wait for top gear next week.

Yes, Sutcliffe really messed up this opportunity by producing a cringeworthy review. There's little or no insight.

In his write-up he sang its praises, especially in comparison to the Porsche 918. After comparing the two videos I'd have to say the 918 unquestionably sounds better.

Hopefully Chris Harris will get behind the wheel of a P1 soon and produce a worthy review.

His reviews have been getting worse and worse.

And I don't think its a stretch to say that every car review he has done recently, he proclaims the car as the best he's ever driven.

I'm so excited by this car, and still had to give up half way through the video frown

Edit, is it me is all the "good" driving done with someone else. All the inboard shots looks like he's cruising it and the drifty stuff isn't him.

Yes. You can see Chris Goodwin (short hair) driving. There's obviously someone with a helmet on driving fast. At no point are any external shots being driven by SS.

What a st video though. Doesn't give it a fast lap. Tells me nothing about the car (his own voiceover is different from the on screen numbers!) What is IPAS? Points at button doesn't explain. Does it understeer, oversteer? Is there turbo lag? (probably not but it need mentioning) When in milkfloat mode what does it feel like? What's the different engine only compared to with electric assistance?

On road? Couple of flybys don't count.

Harris is so much better! I also read that Sutcliffe chucked it off damaging a wishbone and alloy. hehe Does anybody know what cahmpionships he's won when he raced?

On a side note. 918 looks like a Porsche. You can see the bloodline from CarreraGT. Same for the LaFerrari. Follows from Enzo. I can kind of see 12C relation to McLaren F1. But I'm damned if I can see the link 12C to P1 laugh
