Anyone have any experience of using someone in the North West (Yorkshire across to Lancashire) for stripping and repainting a Caterham to a good standard? The car possibly needs new side panels and I don't want to undertake any prep work myself.

Cheers

I have just had a side panel replaced and it is quite a skilled operation. From my research (blatchat and here) everyone said it is best to take the car to Arch in Huntingdon, who make the original frames.
It was a bit of a pain to transport my car to them - Manchester to Huntingdon 4 hours each way- but they did a fine job and have the skilled panel beaters and welders to do the job as new.
Last week i have been showing the car to bodeyshops in manchester for paint quotes and all have remarked on the quality of fitting. So I suggest you call them and ask to speak to Bruce. The price wasn't too painful either.

Had the paintwork finished by Andy Johnston at Trafford Body Repair Center. He has done an excellent job for an agreed price. He's a biker who understands Caterhams, his place does the work for Masarati and indy Ferarri garages. Highly recommended.
