This winter...

...TVR gets arctic. Here's the howto:
First, check the temperature. It's a bit chilly outside, but not truely cold:

Next, fire up the V8. Easy start, a little popping and banging. Pick up a friend and drive to a parking lot of a local beach:

When driving in winter, proper winter tires are a great help:

Then, take the highway to not the next, but the town after the next town. Get some unmentioned drift on the icy road surface at 65+mph, relax a bit and enjoy.

superwedge, in Finland we have this thing called Finnish people
. It makes us possible to do wintery things some wouldn't even think of - even though we did get veeery long looks from people even in here. But as a wedge always turns heads, I'm used to it.
Andy, the weather wasn't actually poor. A bit sub-zero temperature, yes, but clear visibility, no rain, no snow coming down, just a nice, clear winter day. A good day for a little drive around after ensuring the coolant can take it, tires are ok and enough clothes are used.
The handling of the wedge on snow and ice was surprisingly good. It does have a tendency to slide when the loud pedal is touched, but the slides are neutral and easily controllable. Overall it's extremely fun to drive on slippery surface and I can't wait to get on a proper icetrack to train the sliding where there's enough space available to do it safely.

V8 Fettler, yes, they do salt the roads. But luckily only near 0°C, which is why I don't ride her on those weather condition, but wait for few degrees colder. The salting also is done in different amounts on different roads and luckily I can pretty well avoid the salted ones.
400SE Dave, I live in Janakkala, which is ~80km from Helsinki border to the direction of Tampere and I work at Vantaa. If you'll visit the region, throw me a message! If I just have time, I'm always in for a cup of coffee with a fellow wedger.
Janne, pöh, lämminhän tää talvi on ollu
. Sentään vähän saanu kelvollisia saunomispakkasia ja vihdoin on lumi maassa, niin ei ihan syksyltä tunnu
.
Ziga, yep, your blood can freeze in these temperatures, but only if it stops flowing. You have to keep it going to stay warm
