Is there a preferred / recommended fuel pump I'll need to match with green giant injectors & C38 supercharger with intercooler but on standard fuel reg. (at least to start with)? I've removed the existing (standard ?) one whilst cleaning down the rear chassis & it's seen better days, mind you not surprising considering the location, I mean they must have been up all night working that out

I fitted the cerbera pump,I mean the one they fit to the cerbera, good for over 450hp . ,I had problems with the Bosch 044 ,it needs a swirl pot .
If you do a search you can find the Bosch part number which is fitted to the cerbera

That's why I went for the Cerbera pump
Standard pump 100/L per hour 280hp max
Cerb pump 130/L per hour 400hp
O44 pump 200/l per hour. 600+ hp
Upgrade the wiring ,I now get 12volts at the pump.

It doesn't need a swirl pot, I ran a bosch 044 , the only thing is upgrade your fuel lines to dash 6 size flow and return. I welded a -6 fitting onto the fuel rail. Use I high flow fuel filter and check your outlet from the fuel tank
I replaced all the pipe and blew through them ,the problem I had is on quarter of a tank it started sucking in air .I disconnected the petrol pipe and put it in to a petrol container ,the 044 pump filled it in seconds .

I have had a new tank built with a internal collector box ( in built swirl pot ) and gone for a intank pump. It's quiet , and a new level sender that doesn't use a float.

If the Lucas is rated to 280 bhp, why do a lot of us achieve far more on it?
Yes agree, some answers please. Or is this more PH bling.I ran a Bosch 044 originally and had zero problems with it. I upgraded the wiring to the pump. Also upgraded the fitting from the tank to a larger outlet 15mm from memory and it ran fine. I have now switched to a twin setup with lifter pumps for bigger bhp.
I think the TVR setup on the tank is tiny to try and feed a bigger pump.

Anybody tried this one yet ?

Daz mentions sucking air at 1/4 tank......I think they all do that sir, on left hand bends. I have to refuel on track days when the car gets slightly below half full on the gauge (1/3 full in reality) as otherwise when all the fuel camps over on the right side of the tank the engine gives a polite cough to remind me I need to fill up.
You could baffle your tank instead Daz......you baffle us lot often enough

Yep had that, the gooseneck at Cadwell does it to mine, the stickier the tyres the worse it is. You could baffle your tank instead Daz......you baffle us lot often enough

Neal is right, its the outlet from the tank that lets it down. Yes the bosch was in the same position as the orignal. The reason for the change is i was seeing a slight pressure drop on the dyno. Having a new tank allows a internal collector assembly to stop fuel surges. Its basically a intank swirl pot. I have opted for a walbro 450gts intank pump

I presume you don't have the standard Lucas 280? Fuel pump on your 5.5 set up? Good to know what you have now. If tank outlet standard is inhibiting flow to pump then a higher RR bhp will be evident on a full tank due to increased vertical fuel weight, compared to a 1/4 tank.
