997.2 Turbo - Europipe

I've now owned my turbo for nearly 1 month, most impressed with performance and handling but really need to do something with the exhaust note, it is way too quiet. Having read many forums and reports on the various aftermarket exhausts available the quality and sound of the Europipe seems to tick all boxes.

Has anyone here fitted a Europipe on a 997.2 TT?

Don't have a 997 but have fitted them on my 996 turbo and think they are great. Really well made and everyone comments on how good they sound. I know there are cheaper options available and I am sure some are very good but I have no regrets with my Europipes. I would say go for it.

Puckrup, interested to see your thoughts on this - In the very near future I will be pulling the trigger on a 997.2 turbo, is the exhaust noise that poor? In what ways does it need tweaking I.e is it all turbo whistle and little induction noise? Would love to hear the difference the europipe makes

I chopped a 997.1 C4S with the Carnewal muffler upgrade, car didn't have PSE and this was the next best alternative, sounded excellent especially once it bedded in. The 997.2 TT was (is!) supposed to replace my TVR Sagaris which sounds tremendous at all rev ranges. I had read that the turbo exhaust is fairly muted and it is, you do hear the turbos howl when you are at v-max acceleration and the induction note is quite special.

The exhaust note however is the only thing I could fault on the car, it just needs a little 'oomph!' Certainly don't want a loud, raucous in your face (ear) sound but just something more purposeful. Having spoken to an owner of a 997.2 TT S he firmly believes that the Europipe will bring a smile to my face. The quality of manufacture, fit, alignment and installation practice seem excellent and should be an easy fit (and easy to back out should extended warranty inspection be required)

Also worthy of consideration is the system from Kline Innovation. Just bought this system for my 997.1 and the quality is very good its also a clever crossover design, the price is also attractive at £1650+vat. Nice company to deal with and superb backup.

hi, had a europipe fitted to my 997.2 turbo nearly a year ago, car now sounds as good as it looks ! no cabin drone, high quality stainless steel exhaust that weighs the same as stock. delivered within 1 week of ordering - 4 year guarantee - only downside was price, expensive at 3 1/2 grand - checkout their website and have a listen !!
