Has anybody managed to remove paint from carbon with any success / lack of damage? More specifically, my rear wing has been painted satin black at some point, and whilst it looks okay, I would like to take it back to the original carbon finish and have it re-lacquered. I can see the weave through the paint, so it clearly isn't too thick.

On a side note, if anybody has any wing ends, I may be interested...

Here's a pic of my car smile Just fitted a BCS exhaust (Previously Urban Racing?) and Pro Alloy IC and a few other bits....

Thanks,

Paul

Thanks Tux. I had read that the lacquer goes cloudy so hoped if I could rub it back or strip it, I could do the same with the lacquer and then re-coat it.

Hi Paul, you brought that from Mark, down here in Devon I'm guessing, lovely car and yes the front splitter is unique. I've gone on a few drives with Mark, he did love that car. Good to hear your good experience with Dave @ BCS

Hi Paul, that's the one. I've had it about a year and a half now and still loving it. I was looking for a 3R but this was sucah a clean example it was difficult to say no. He really looked after the car. I love the front splitter, would prefer it in carbon, but that's for another day! Need to stop spending...!
