Hi,

Just after a bit of advice. I have just transferred some money online from my Lloyds account to my National savings ISA using my debit card. I've then checked my Lloyds account straight away to see if the money had been transferred but it was marked as pending.

Now the problem. Listed just after this transaction on the same day is another pending transaction, only for £1 and is to BANK/USA US

I know it's only £1 but why is it there. Is it linked to the ISA transaction or has my account been hacked as I made the deposit and someone is "testing the water".

I have rang the bank but they have no idea either and can see no more on screen than I can. They did give me the fraud dept. number and made a note of it.

Any Ideas, Thanks, Jeff.

If you've done this via your PC you should scan it for viruses/malware.

Lloyds have been having problems with their debit card transaction over the last 24 hours.

Thanks for your advice but just to update, the transaction has now disappeared just as mysteriously as it came.

Used your card anywhere else recently.

It could be from National Savings, but when you use your card the retailer/whoever may place an authorisation hold on the account maybe to check the validity of the card. As you have experienced they are removed after a few days.

It happened exactly at the same time of the National Savings deposit and also a friend of my wife has said exactly the same so it looks like your answer is spot on, thanks.
