Wanted - cheap tank for house renovation
Discussion
Thinking about selling my current car and buying an estate as hopefully will be completing a house renovation soon and so wanting to avoid the cost of too many skips and the benefit of being able to collect materials without waiting for delivery.
Looked at vans but decided that due to insurance costs to give them a miss and just get a big estate instead. Thinking cheap so £1k-£2k, been looking old volvos which seem to go on forever. Petrol could be OK as I won't be covering that many miles.
Any suggestions on what would make a cheap, reliable tank that I can fill with rubble, dust and 2x4"!
cheers

Audi 100/a6 - it's doing me fine, the avant can fit full size doors in the back with the rear seats down.
saying that: I managed to get the entire living room ceiling (crazy artex) in the boot of an e30 (saloon)
And you can just fit 8ft fence posts in a mk2 ibiza hatch if you put one end on the dash and close the boot very carefully.

This. Plenty to pick from and cheap to fix, especially if you buy the petrol or early diesel.Mk3 or 4 < 1k
