Well now i can spill the beans...The irony is Chris Rea was going to come to the fest and perform an acoustic set for us..As some of you may know he is a petrol head and was going to also bring a very nice Ferrari for us to swoon over...But the person who was the link can't be there due to work commitments...Shame as this was the trump card...I couldn't advertise it as the hotel would of been packed with fans and there would be no room for us!...Cheers..Ziga

The Stainsby referred to is (was) a tiny village a couple of miles from my place, swallowed up in the murk of Teesside now - Chris was from the 'Boro (that's Middlesbrough, not Scarborough or Peterborough biggrin).

I'm pretty sure TVR22 was one of the plates used by the factory so that car was almost certainly one of the demonstrators.

Sorry for the slight hijack of the thread....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6VDUUqYEFs

is MY red 280i in a pop video.....and it was a VERY early one too I wonder if it could have been in the Chris Rea video too...doubt it, but would be a bit spooky?

A nice spot though and nice to see red wedges in videos....(but yes I AM Biased...)

Working abroad and left my stash of tapes (yes, that long ago) at the hotel where we were based. Only had Road to Hell in the van, got to know that one quite well but never tired of it over a week or so. It was that or German radio stations......
