Hi folks,

Anyone know of any sites/shops that sell add ons for my XJ600N?

This bike was going to tide me over untill i got my Bandit but due to starting a new company (cheekly slide this in www.greenwhale.co.uk) i dont have much spare cash so i thought i could spend some at least on the XJ.

Any tips on bits i could add to make it more streetfighter like.

Also thought about getting the wheels powder coated but someone mentioned the wheels could crack so dont know about risking it..any one know anything about this?

Al the sites I have seen with decent mini fairings and stuff are for bandits, do you think i could make these fit the XJ?

Personally I'd save my money & put it towards a different bike, even if dosh is tight Bandits etc start at well under a grand & early Hornets & SV650s are not a huge amounts more.

However if you like the bike & want to mod it- why not its your dosh after all, most of the flyscreens & bits etc will fit most single headlight bikes- scan the M&P etc cataloges.

Got a Buell fylscreen on my Bandit, thought it looked a bit diferent.

Thats a very nice bike mate.

Think you could be right and save the cash untill i get my bandit.

I was going to buy a 1200 bandit recently but the insurance company said no chance. So I will wait till I have been riding for a year then buy one once I can get insured.

How much of a difference is there in the 1200 and 600 bandits?

If you dont like the bike anyway, why spend cash on it? Just put the money to the bike you really want.

I happen to have a Cat D Bandit sat on my driveway, pre accident valued at £1500 (by the insurance, who are usually stingy gits! ) but now I wouldnt imagine its worth half that. Anyway, negotiations are still underway, but provided I get to keep the thing ill be putting it back on the road. Its got a few scratches, and the forks are twisted in the yolks, so ill be getting the forks realigned, getting it MOT'd and getting stuck in with the T Cut!

I have two options;

a)Ride it through the winter, and get something else in the Spring.

b)Flog it for about £500-600.

c)Not bother putting it back on the road, and stripping it completely and ebaying every nut and bolt

Let me know if you'd be interested in it if I put it back on the road.

Mad Dave give me a shout if you put it on the road mate and I will have a look at the old finances at the time.

I think a bandit would be my ideal bike as I love the styling of it and theres loads you can do with them to make them look rather streetfightery

I have seen some amazing bandit streetfighters on eBay in the past that look fantastic. There was one I seen that was about £8k and it looked the bees..

Think I am going to stick a couple of tires on the XJ then stick it in the paper for sale after the new year.
