I am about to fit the Targa panel clamp retaining pegs onto the windscreen surround, just wondering what fixings are usually used bolt, screw or rivet, and do they secure through the weather seal or directly to the frame and then the seal fits over the top, if this rambling makes any sense, advice suggestions welcome.
Obviously the roof will only be used in the event of extreme bad weather... !
Cheers

Hi Mike,
The retaining lugs on mine are screwed through the weatherseal and into the windscreen top rail, using self-tappers by the look of it. I think they also have a wedge-shaped spacer to present the lugs at the correct angle & height.

I did take some pics a while ago, now deleted from my phone, but if you search on here for S series roof retaining clips, you should find the images of mine ( Southco ) & also Phillpots alternative ones.

Fix tlhe lugs on first, then you can establish where to position the over- centre clips on the targa panels themselves, allowing for a little tension when clipped into place.
HTH
Glen.

Thanks guys, I knew it had come up recently but I couldn't find that info , all it showed was the clamps or no photo or detail of the lugs/ pegs.

Driverside fitted, feels more secure with a firm clunk, passengers to do . Then went for blast with the roof in the boot, sunshine blue sky 2 days in a row... though a little "chilly".. !
