Bird poo, in the face at 70mph

Another thread reminded me of an incident a few years ago, and I wondered if I was alone in experiencing the wonderfull phenomenon.

Enyoying a top down thrash through the Yorkshire Dales when... splat

Massive bird poo hits me in the face.
Part of it caught the top edge of the windscreen, which diffused it into a fine mist.

Thankfully I had my sunglasses on, but it was everywhere, all over me, up my nose, in my hair, and all over the inside of the car.

Yuk. We had one hit the very top edge of the windscreen once and it also splatted on the folded part of the hood behind us. Close. But nothing like yours

On seprarate ocassions had a wasp inside my bike helmet and then up the sleeve of my bike jacket

Nearly caused one hell of an accident due to sheer panic

I had a bird fly up from the verge once that tried to fly through the open car, unfortunately it hit the roll bar and fell, dead, between my back and the seat back - it was pretty grizzly when i got out, looked like there had been a murder!!

The only fauna related incidents I've had have both been while riding motorbikes.

A wasp down my neck (bugger stung me before I could stop) and a pheasant that flew across the road and hit me in the chest at about 50mph. Ooooppphh, bloody hurt. Pheasant tasted good though!

Did something similar a few years ago except in this case the poo was still in its container .

Was very early on a summer morning, roof off, on the A69 out off Edinburgh. Hit a seagull with the top of the windscreen. Certainly woke me up.

Not bird related...but, I was out on the bike about 3 months ago, just opened the visor about an inch to let a cool breeze in and Bang a bloody wasp landed just above my left eye.

Then I panicked and tried to get the thing out before it had chance to attack ...........to late it got me right on the eye lid.

After stopping and making sure it wasn’t still in my helmet, i had to ride the 30 miles home before my eye got so swollen i couldn’t open it.
