Can anyone recommend a camp site there. anyone stayed at Maison Blanch camp site on track? Thinking of going but undecided whether to take Noble, motorbike or Aygo. Looked at a few sites but some of the costs seem to be spiraling. Anyone recommend a web site to use to book up for tickets, ferry and camping??? Thanks
Yep, Travel Destinations are excellent and great people to deal with. Look them up and price up staying at the Porsche Curves. They have security at the gate, a private viewing spot, half decent loos and a food/beer tent.
I took the Nob one year with a passenger, 2 x 1 man tents, 2 inflatable mattresses, 2 chairs, clothing and washbag etc, tools, 2 pillows, beer, gas lamps, camera bag and various other bits n pieces. Other years took a barbie too, but that was pre Nob!

thanks, i think i looked at that web site.just dont know wot to do. i was thinking of taking the motorbike as it would be easier to get through traffic etc.
downside is , if it rains then it wont be pleasant, and wont be able to take much stuff.and the security of the bike.
if i take the nob, taking stuff wont be an issue, just dont want to get stuck over there if the weather is bad.
prices seem to be near the 800 pounds min for 2 excluding food and fuel.seems a tad expensive for a 2 day trip camping, unless im missing something.dosnt seen to be a subsidy for motorbikes.

I don't think it costs any more if you went Wed or Thurs to make more of the time. I've always done that and got 4-5 days out of it. It will rain.
I've stayed in various other sites but theft etc. has got really bad and I've had enough of that now, so secure site is the only way to go. People have had their tents cut open while they are asleep in it and had their money etc stolen.

thank you, i appreciate you comments on it. ive 2 holidays booked this year so far and not shure if i want to take more time off to get to le mans if its going to be a hassle.il keep looking and then decide.
That's understandable. If you do Le Mans, in my opinion, you go for 4-5 days for the most enjoyment and value for money.I took the Noble to Le Mans last year. We do a 5 days stay and get there Thursday and leave Monday, that way the traffic is a lot easier. Stayed Beausejour camping which is a cheapest option and were supprised as its really friendly, fairly decent security and there are cops on horses roaming around. Had no trouble at all. In fact all the groups tend to look out for each other. Only problem with Beausejour is its about a 25-30 min walk from the grandstand. Last year some of the other sites had trouble with thieves.. best bet is to read reviews on the LeMan forum...
Last year was a special Porsche year, millions of them everywhere, all ages all types - yet I had people stopping the Noble everywhere to ask questions and take pictures, it received nothing but positive views.
this years camping trip is Spa F1..
