I thought you'd sold it Barry? It's not that hard to change it. Drive it onto a wooden plank if you can't get the jack under it. Take the wheel and wheel trim off and lower the battery out of the bottom.

If I can do it, anyone can.

As Adrian says, it's not that difficult. Just get the car up on the drivers side rear and you can reach the clamp and terminals from the top and bottom. Takes me around 10 mins.

Be very carefull when undoing the +ve terminal as its very easy to short it out! A good tip is to wrap your spanner in insulating tape before you start.

I've never attempted it so I may be talking rubbish here...

I'd say take the negative lead off first. It then doesn't matter if your spanner touches the chassis.
Once the neg is off you're safe to work on the + without the shorting risk

Bosch 075 silver thing, about £100, if you have a magic Halfords card it is about £50

Got a Bosch silver from halfords with the trade card, was £74.79 down from £99.99

Went tits after a few months from being drained a couple of times and halfords swapped it for a new one.

Got it down to about 20 minutes to swap.
If its not taking a charge try connecting another battery via jump leads then the charger and leave it a while. Some recover but the charger needs to see some volts to get started.
