Hi guys, I've got a dodgy connection on my high beam stalk. Every now and then my hi beam flashes on as I go over a bump and if I fiddle with the stalk it stops,
Has anyone had this problem and can it be a quick fix or am I likely to need new stalk etc.
I haven't attempted to get at it yet so any tips would be much appreciated.

New stalk, common issue when they were fitted in vauxhalls as well

Mine did this last year.

New stalk from ebay was about £7 if I remember correctly.

it's a simple fix.
I unscrewed the cowling (two screws underneath) and released the indicator stalk (there are two clips top and bottom). The electrical connections were on one or two connector blocks which made it even easier. When mine started randomly flashing on bumps and braking, I decided to replace both sides as a precaution.

The alternative parts list just says Vaux Cavalier and directs you to Leven and they only seem to list the shiny bits!

I opted to go for GM original since they weren't hugely expensive. Here's what I paid 12 months ago via: http://www.genuinepartsearch.co.uk

including VAT & postage.... 90243394 £15.80 (wash/wipe) and 9181010 £ 36.62 (indicator). I think pattern parts were about a tenner.

and I found this page useful too: http://wiki.seloc.org/a/Indicator_stalk

And if you go for a wiper switch that has the rear wiper option (hatchback vauxhalls not saloon varients) then you can use that part of the switch for another use that might be useful ....fan overide for instance.
