I need to book parking at Heathrow for my upcoming ski trip and in the past have used valet services - but that was before I got my 911 and wasn't so worried about some oik taking the car for a joyride.
Anyone used any good valet services for their pride and joy that they would recommend?

I reported it to the parking office staff and they unconvincingly said they will let the owner know.
Wouldn't leave a decent car with these people, if you are a car park dink OCD type?

I'd be inclined to agree with the common consensus that leaving any car with someone who's job is to drive it to and from the airport is a risky business
There's plenty of companies that regularly deal with top end cars, but I've seen them mistreat them just as much as the guys that deal with focus' and Vectras
I always use one the local hotel car parks where you leave you car there in a secure car park with other (generally) reasonable cars and hope that they have the same respect for their cars when parking as I do. I'd then get a cab to and from the hotel and generally stay the night before too
Depending on which terminal you're going from, but the Hilton's generally a safe bet and if nothing else, there's always plenty of other nice metal there to take a nose at whilst your at it

We've dealt with many peoples P&J's while we've been operating, everything from Maserati Ghibli's, 997's, BMW M3's right up to R8's & F-Type's. All our PH'er client's tend to time in any work they require doing on their car at the same time too (Typically dead time as the car is otherwise just sitting there), we then project manage it while they're away so it's all done in one hit.
If you have flight dates already booked, drop me a message & I'll come back to you with a quote - On a side note, if there are any particular services/jobs you would like done on your 911 while it's with us, we have both Nine Excellence & Parr UK both around 10-15min away, 9E in particular are happy to come to us to carry out any work on behalf of our client's so once it's here we're not subjecting it to any further risk on the road.

I think I'll look at the hotel option as it is a 6.45am flight, so at least will give me more time in the morning. I think any valet/drop off option is out. The standard long term is £31 for a week which is very reasonable - just a pain to lug bags and skis on/off shuttle buses. Maybe I can get a good corner space and then just cross my fingers for the week!
I'm based up in St Neots so I think the Taxi cost is prohibitive. But I may look into car hire costs too.

I was going to suggest this as well but I think that there are some time limits. But, if it works, then the "Short stay special" is the best.Garaged.com looks promising too though (from the post above, means something if they're on PH).
I've used pre-book short stay too, and it worked fine.
I've also used one of the hotels which allow you to stay the night and leave your car there. I would say, they are not all to the same level as the Hilton - the one we used (g/f car) clearly had insufficient spaces, with people cramming their cars every which way / on grass verges / mm gaps between them. I would never take one of my cars somewhere like that.
ETA : On the subject of valet parking, we used to be able to use them on business flights. A couple of months after a business trip, I discovered that the change I keep in the car for parking (between £10-£20) had been stolen. I no longer use valet parking....

I always use Business Parking or the Business Parking plus if it is T1. Lots pf expensive motors there & never had an issue. And always the ability to park the car away from others if needed. I always prebook. The Jeep is in Business plus next week whilst I'm in Ireland for the day, longest I have waited there is 5 mins & walked 15 feet!
I park at airports several times a year, and haven't had an issue do far. But I would avoid valet parking in the Porsche as they just might be tempted to have a bit more fun then they should.
Besides short term parking is normally cheaper and you are just as close to the terminal.
The car parks at Heathrow are littered with expensive cars as well so it's not like it's going to stand out.
If you're flying from T5, use business parking and you get to travel in the cool little personal electric pods! Recommended
