Can someone recommend a low light camera for our bird box,
Preferably infrared Wi-Fi for connecting to laptop / tablet.
Seems about the right time of year to install it.
And it should keep our kids intrigued for 5min!

Yes, fascinating stuff — we had one for several years — but if you're going to install one, be aware that there may well be fatalities, which could be upsetting to adults & chilled alike.

I think Aldi are doing one at the moment. No ideas about features etc.

Sorry, I don't remember or I'd have said. It died & was disposed of.

Do you really need WiFi for the camera? You'll have to run a power cable to it anyway so just buy a standard birdbox cam kit that has power, audio and video all in one multicore cable.

I've tried several in bluetit boxes over the years - best by far is the one that has both white and IR LEDs (and a daylight sensor) so you get colour images during the day and b/w at night. Audio is also nice.
