Now that American Speed have introduced 2 new 1000hp engines for the Ultima, and assuming that these engines have the Factory Seal of Approval, is there likely to be another attempt by the Factory to take on 'The Ring' with an upgraded Factory specced car to take 'The Ring'lap record? It makes you wonder !! scratchchin

Are the engines emmissions compliant?

I think that the old 720 is no longer compliant with the current emmissions rules. The factory should do it with a car that they can sell new now IMO to avoid negative comments. Like the engine I have in mine for example!!!

How much is dependant on getting the fastest driver that knows the ring. No idea myself, just a red wine thought?

If you remember the Ring Master that Ultima hired projected a 6:55 lap based on the section times they where able to run. This was of course before it started raining to an intensity that suggested an Ark would be a better vehicle then an Ultima. I do wish the Factory would switch over to a LS motor just because I would be curious to see if the torque advantage that LS motors usually enjoy over similar Horse power SBCs would be of benefit. But the bottom line is Ultima has certainly proven their product against the clock for all to see
