Just returned to London from the Cotswolds, appalling visibility, spray and rain took it down to a hundred metres at times. Counted 18 cars running without lights. All but three were grey. The three were black. Also a grey M3 smashed up by Loudwater but seemed to have lights on.

Fifty shades in fact.ETA : Mt Chimaera is grey, my Rover P5B is grey and take a guess what colur my XFS was.

I'll almost certainly get slagged off for it, but since having a grey car I've driven with my lights on constantly. People just don't see you, however safely you drive theres not much you can do about that except maybe never go out. So lights go on.
Nowadays with more modern metal having DRL's nobody seems to mind, and I haven't been driven into in a long while.
