W210 advice

Hello everyone

I fancy some cheap barging while temporarily living in Edinburgh and have spotted this beaut for sale a few miles down the road. http://www.labinjoh.co.uk/image.asp?recordid=129

Now, aside from the chavtastic chrome wheelarch trims and general pipe and slippers approach, is there anything to watch out for with these cars? Anything hiding ready to cost a fortune? A complete waste of a 'bag?

Mileage seems a little low but as it's got FSH you can't go wrong. One would assume it's one owner.

Do a HPI check and if it's checks out go for it!

I would check the front suspension for structural rust. The spring perches are know to break off.

Rust is the thing with these (I've owned several). Chrome arch covers invariably means rust underneath. (I've PM'd you). All the best.
