motorhome recommendation please.

I have a 2006 CI Carioca 656 for me, the wife and 2 kids.

We wanted bunk beds to keep the kids in separate beds and so we have the rest of the motorhome after 8pm or whatever to ourselves.

The drawback is that we have no relaxing lounge, but tend to each sit on one of the dinette seats sideways.

I'd recommend going to a show or lots of looking around dealers to see what internal layout you prefer and would suit your family.

We had a 20kish budget when looking last year, 5 minutes at a dealer we realised our budget was too small (by about half) for anything modern with a shower and room for kids.

Our biggest mistake was "just" looking in a 55k van - it was superb and everything else looked dreadful even at 30ish!!

In the end we brought a folding camper!

Cough....Theres a lovely 2005 Hymer 544 classic on a certain northern dealers website,5 berth,6 seatbelts,seperate shower,£23995.

Or a 1 owner 53 plate Challenger 151 with bunks and a seperate shower at only £17995.

Couldnt say who they are obviously but might rhyme with shambles.

We have a 2005 Ace Firenza (part of the Swift empire) This is one a Fiat Ducato chassis with 2.8 turbo diesel engine. It has a rear lounge which turns into a double, a dinette with turns into another double and two over the cab. The rear lounge is separated from the rest of the motorhome with the toilet/shower cubical and the wardrobe on the opposite side.

we might be selling our one of these.... ideal for kids as it has bunks where you can ut them to sleep in the back while you stay up. PM me if interested, undecided at present as we have had a new baby and may need to change our requirements
