Relocating to Trinidad

I am interested in a job advertised in Trinidad. Have never been to the island before so would be interested to hear from anyone who has. Especially those who have stayed/worked for a length of time

I knew a guy who used to go there quite often for work visits, and he hated it - said it wasn't an island paradise by any means.

I've only ever worked down in the Chaguaramas area, in the Marina and Boatyard. It's okay but very unlike other Caribbean islands. We would only bother going to Port of Spain for engineering parts, paperwork or the Airport.

I did a trip from out of chag as well, we were alongside for about a week before my 5 weeks offshore, it is a pretty poor place and can be a little "ruff" would not like to wander off by myself at night!
