Because the Express is well known for it's accurate and not at all doom mongering weather reporting.

But it's the Express...

They've been harping on about the "Deadly Winter Weather" since August.

It actually got knocked off the front page today as they had another "Maddy" story.

Yes I do buy it, my excuse is I like the crossword in it.

The weather forecast says breezy and wet. No different to what we've had for the last two months.

Give us some snow please! (my winter tyres have been an utter waste of money under utilised so far)

Yep, 100 days of arctic weather and the coldest winter on record, mmmmm, still waiting.

I take Daily Express weather reports with an unhealthy dose of salt.

The daily Mail are just as bad; I love reading their weather headlines which are invariably contradicted completely by the usual weather forecast reports.

They invariably take a temperature range report by an actual forecaster, then throw away all the warm/cold bits (depending on season) and scandalise the effects!

Met Office are forecasting gusts up to 45mph....I guess it doesn't make much of a headline.
