Passenger Door Window Winder

Help!

Decided to take the car out to enjoy the winter sunshine at the weekend. All went well until I put the roof on to drive home at 8pm. I then went to windup the passenger window and...snap, the cable in the winding mechanism broke. Brilliant. Real cold journey home.

Next day I took the door panel off to have a look and confirmed that the cable had indeed snapped.

It's very awkward to get at and I'm on the verge of picking up the phone and booking the car in for someone else to do it.

Unless anyone has any handy tips for doing it myself...

Sorry mate,evidently we are not much help.
Mines electric and have refurbished both motors but never the cables other than a slap of grease.

Or does anyone know how I can manually get the window into the up position - at least then I can drive the car and park up without fear of theft!
