Does anyone know what model car the noble rear view mirror is from?

It looks like a ford escort.

Why? Need a replacement one?

I'm thinking about changing mine for an auto anti glare one with a reverse Camara.

I need to look into it a bit more, but some of the taxi's in Hong Kong hand some funky mirrors one even had a mini TV.

JP,
I saw they have Carbon Fiber covers for rear view mirrors so I thought I might get one if I knew what exact mirror we have.

Oooh a carbon one 😃
The new Audi R8 comes with digital rear view display running from a camara full time an idea they have taken off there Le Mans car.

I think I might go the same route, it's a question of finding a good mount now, 7" screens a quite cheep these days and I if I spend a bit more money on a better qualty CDD camera it should work in low light conditions too.

Not sure what the law on the MOT man will think of it mind

I don't think you need a rear view mirror for an MOT do you? Some vans don't have them for obvious reasons.

I wonder how well this would work - no wires...

The camera bar could go behind the rear grill with a little circular cutout for the lens.

went through this in the Exige world, you need a rear view mirror but that can be a wing mirror.

I brought a 5" LCD screen tonight, I wanted a 7" but the mount was better on the smaller one and it should stick to the window the same as a normal mirror.

Next up is a camera.

The CCD appear to be better quality, but does anyone have knowledge in this area?
I'm not sure how wide a lens I want? As I want to use it as a review mirror and not just a reversing camera.
My screen has 2 inputs so I could get 2 different camera's and wire one up to the reverse light.

This one looks like it might do the job, but it is 170 degree angle which maybe too wide??

CaptainJP,

I'd be interested to how you get on with this, I was planning on doing something similar to mine.
