My Alfa is finally going to see some action. It's been sitting in the garage now for so long it now needs an MOT and a freshen up. Played with the idea of selling but what's the point. Having dreamed of returning to do some track days, and not really wanting to do it in the Suzuki (or the VW!), my mate has offered to pay half towards getting it ready. We were considering going halves on another car until my light bulb moment (or not?).

On the service schedule it is due a cambelt in 10k but I feel this is a must! I would rather put it through an MOT too so we can drive it to and from. I fitted new brake pads and discs to the front and it had a front suspension freshen up recently too.

So what else should we consider doing? Is this a really bad idea and should I consider something else? What could possibly go wrong?

Cage? Strip the interior out, definitely, weight is the enemy. Good tyres too.
