I can't really explain it, but ever since it came out, I've had a bit of a thing for the Insignia VXR.

I've got no doubt you can buy much better for the same money, but it's one of those cars I look at and think "I'm going to buy one of those one day."

Bit strange, I know. I just love the way they look. There's something about them. I honestly can't really explain it.

What cars do you inexplicably Love?

A high end (Mayfair/VDP/MG) Montego or something similarly dreadful I'm hoping to find for £300 in order to do a banger rally in the Summer.

Can you?

How much would you pay for a brand new one? Not the list price but actually how much you'd pay.

For the money what other car can you get with similar performance, spec etc?

This. You'd pay double for a similarly powerful Audi S4 or BMW 335i. There's no Mondeo equivalent, and the Passat R36 is rarer than hens testicles.

Edit: I'm talking 2nd hand values, not new.

Chrysler Crossfire.

I don't care that they look a bit odd, or might drive rubbish, or might handle badly, or have poor MPG, or badly built cabins.

I just want one. And one day, I might just buy one. smile

Well yeah, if youreyou're talking like for like for age and power etc., but you could get an E46 M3, an Elise, an E92 335i and so on if you don't narrow it down so much.

Crossfire is a good one, btw!
